Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Saina mobile application (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Saina lets you scan barcodes on skincare and cosmetics products to view ingredient information, skin-type ratings, benefits/cons, pricing across retailers where available, and to keep a history of scanned products and favorites. You can also submit products that aren't yet in our catalog for review and possible addition. Saina is a pre-launch, evolving product; features, availability, and the product database will change over time.

You must create an account to use certain features (history, favorites, submissions). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

When using Saina, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful product information or photos.
• Submit photos containing other people, private documents, or content you don't have the right to share.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
• Use the App for any purpose that violates applicable law, including UAE law.
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute our product database or content without permission.

When you submit a product name, photo, or other content through the App (a "Submission"), you confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

By making a Submission, you grant Saina a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and use your Submission (in whole or in part) for the purpose of reviewing it and, if approved, adding or displaying the resulting product information and imagery within the App and related marketing or admin tooling. You may request deletion of a pending or approved Submission by contacting hello@sainaapp.com; already-approved catalog data that has become part of the shared product database may be corrected rather than fully removed where it no longer identifies you.

Submissions are reviewed by our team before being added to the catalog and may be rejected, edited for accuracy, or removed at our discretion.

Saina's ingredient analysis, skin-type ratings, scores, benefits, cons, and any related commentary are provided for general informational purposes only. They are not medical, dermatological, or professional advice, and are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified dermatologist, doctor, allergist, or other healthcare professional.

Product scores and ratings are based on published ingredient lists and general ingredient-safety research; they do not account for your individual medical history, allergies, or sensitivities. Always patch-test new products and stop use and seek medical advice if you experience an adverse reaction.

Where the App shows pregnancy-related guidance for an ingredient or product, this is general informational content based on publicly available ingredient-safety research and is not a substitute for medical advice. Pregnancy and breastfeeding can change how a product or ingredient affects you. Always consult your doctor, obstetrician, or other qualified healthcare provider before using any skincare or cosmetic product while pregnant or breastfeeding, regardless of what the App shows.

Pricing, availability, and retailer information shown in the App is sourced from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Always confirm price and availability on the retailer's own site or in-store before purchasing.

The App and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saina and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the App, including reliance on ingredient analysis, skin-type ratings, or pregnancy-safety information. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable UAE law.

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the security or integrity of the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of Saina after a change becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the UAE, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
